Descriptions and demonstrations of infrastructure management might give the impression that technology alone can solve the problem of service management. This couldn't be further from the truth. When it comes to service management, people are the primary requirement. Process is used to get people to work together in a consistent and predictable way. Finally, technology can be used to support these processes. From a cost perspective, getting these processes to work will far exceed the cost of any technology.

Deliverables:

1.    Profile today's environment

2.    Build a performance model for the desired state

3.    Identify and assess solutions

4.    Choose a course of action (management review and decision making)

The tracks overlap and information developed in one will be used for analysis and decision-making in the others.  This approach will be modified and refined subject to your review of each proposal and upon starting each engagement.
